Marian Rivera new movie: You To Me Are Everything

It's a little bit funny to see a new movie by Marian Rivera where she plays an Igorota whose skin is really white as a paper. If I were to analyze the possibilities of her being in a role in her new movie with Dingdong Dantes titled, You To Me Are Everything, I will laugh at the very thought of Marian being a native of Benguet. Well, this is not to assume all people of Benguet of course are of natural brown skin.


Of course if you expect to make a movie of such character, then just like in an old film by Nora Aunor, "Igorota", surely, somebody with fairly brown skin would fit the role. But this time, Marian Rivera playing the role of a native of Benguet who grew in its mystic mountains, wow! That would surely be a bad idea.

Anyway, I liked the movie and the concept plus the different twist of the love story. I have nothing against the natives of Benguet or any native race here but I didn't like the idea of an obvious meztiza playing the role. I also have nothing against Dingdong Dantes who by the way played his role well too. It's just that something doesn't feel right. Anyway, the film is good. I actually watched it twice. Once in theater and then again in a movie download.
